The legalization and registration are in process. 

After the Sai Education encounter in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), in March 2003, it was announced to us in Chile that permission and encouragement was granted, to start an Institute in our country.

Very quickly after that, we received the official communication that Diana Wagner would be the School Headmaster and that her husband, Antonio Bustamante, would be appointed as in charge for the soon to be created SSS Institute.

Present Status:

The Sathya Sai Foundation of Chile had appointed (early 2002) Antonio Bustamante in charge of the Foundation in La Serena, where the SSS School is located (500 Km North of the Capital Santiago). It is in this capacity, that Diana Wagner and her husband Antonio worked on the necessary contracts, permissions and arrangements, to negotiate, rent and modify some premises for the starting of the school in the rural town of Las Rojas.

They also coordinated and secured the donations from different individuals to help bring about the necessary financing. A bank account was opened and it is from there that salaries and expenses have begun to be disbursed.

The Foundation in Santiago proceeded to put up to date all its legal papers and titles, so to be able to give La Serena the necessary powers of attorney and to grant some tax status, appertaining to an existing organization (yet without tax breaks for donors). 

The La Serena Foundation office hired an accounting clerk for all dealings with ministries, banks, insurance companies, pension schemes and retirement funds, to provide legal cover to all its employees and to stay within the law at all times. She operates from the premises of Antonio’s manufacturing company, located in the vicinity of the school. All this work permitted the school to open its doors on 12th of March 2003 (photos of parents and teachers are available).
