Activities of the Institute

By this moment three courses are being held at the Institute: Basic, Advanced and an Extension course.

Regional Courses - According the necessities of each region, the Institute prepared a specific course . The Institute were present in the states of : Ceara, Pernambuco, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Goias.

Lectures and seminar were offered all around Brasil ( Porto Alegre , Goiania, Fortaleza, Recife, Salvador, Assis, Belo Horizonte, Águas de Lindóia, Águas de São Pedro, Ribeirão Pires, Santo André, Ribeirão Preto, and one special- a day couse for Educational Authorities (Secretaries) of the following cities: Patrocínio Paulista, Igarapava, Altinópolis and Santo Antônio da Alegria).

Regular courses of the Institute

• Basic Courses - (40 hours) - 1 course per semester
• Advanced - (90 hours) - 1 course per semester
• Extension course - ( 250-hours) with training and monograph.

The first group (23) graduated in November 2001, 12 of them went to India and received the diploma from the Divine Hands . The second group began the course in August 2001 and is graduating in June 2002.

Events

Latin-American Meeting, in the city of Ribeirão Preto, July 2001, with the presence of representatives from Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. We had the presence of Dr. Art-Ong Jumsai as a special guest.

Year 2002

EVH National Encounter o Rio de Janeiro - a whole week course for teachers of all around Brazil and the last day, a public meeting attended by 400 people of involved in different level of Education, between them delegates of Unesco. Mr. M. Goldstein and L. Gutter attended the public meeting.

Visits to, Inspection of and Training the Sathya Sai Schools

Throughout 2001 visits were paid to the schools of Vila Isabel, Goiás and Pernambuco. The Institute was present in the cities mentioned in the topic above, as well as in the city of Curitiba where the "Universidade Espírita" (Spiritualistic University) has asked to adopt the Program. That University is responsible for an elementary school on campus as well as a rural school near Curitiba. Both schools have adopted the Educare Program.
